Terms of service

Last updated 26 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Adam Lynch, a sole proprietor in the United States, who runs Screencrab.me (“we”). By creating an account or using the Screencrab.me extension or app, you agree to them. If you use Screencrab.me for an organization, you agree for it, and confirm you may.

The service

Screencrab.me lets teams capture screenshots and recordings of web pages, with the console and network activity behind them, and share them as bug reports. We may improve and change it, and we’ll tell you before removing anything you pay for.

Your account

Your content

What you capture and write (“your content”) is yours. You give us permission to store, process and show it only as needed to run the service for you and the people you share it with.

You’re responsible for having the right to capture what you capture. Screenshots, recordings and logs can contain other people’s personal data: capture only what you’re allowed to, use the blur tool for what shouldn’t be kept, and choose plans and settings that keep it no longer than you need. For personal data in your content, we act on your organization’s behalf, as described in the privacy policy, and offer a data processing agreement on request.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Screencrab.me to:

Trial, plans and payment

When a subscription ends

When a trial ends or a subscription ends unpaid, capturing pauses and your reports stay readable. Screenshots and recordings are deleted 30 days later, after a warning email to owners a week before. Each plan also keeps media for a set time, shown on the pricing page.

Availability

We work to keep Screencrab.me running and your data safe, with daily encrypted backups. But the service is provided as it is, without a guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors. Keep your own copies of anything you can’t afford to lose.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for fraud, or for death or injury caused by negligence. Otherwise, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or data, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

If you use Screencrab.me as a consumer, you keep every right your local law gives you.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Screencrab.me and delete your account, or an organization you own, from the app at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after a warning where we reasonably can.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll email account owners at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Using the service after that means you accept the new terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, United States, and its state and federal courts settle disputes, except where the law where you live gives you the right to go to your own courts or keep its protections.
